    spacious room
    beautiful gardens
    long trek

The room was spacious and we loved the relaxing hot spring bath after a long day of hiking. The gardens were absolutely beautiful and the French restaurant served some delicious meals! Just a heads up, it was a bit of a trek from the bus stop, so pack light if you can. 👍

    fantastic onsen

    Great place for solo travelers

The onsen was fantastic and not crowded when I went, perfect to relax after a long day. The views over the lake were fine, especially in the morning light, it was amazing.

Not cheap but still acceptable for the experience.

    breathtaking view
    excellent dining
    basic room
    limited breakfast
    high dining prices

The view of the lake from our room was breathtaking, making our stay memorable. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at the French restaurant, where the service was impeccable and the food delicious, especially the warm bread. The onsen was a nice touch for relaxation. However, the standard room felt basic compared to pricier options, and the breakfast variety could have been better. It would be great if the restaurants offered more affordable dining options.

    great location
    early bar closing

Had an amazing time with friends! We loved the view from our room and the short walk to Lake Ashi. Don’t miss the delicious French food at their restaurant. It really adds to the experience. Also, be sure to reserve a table before your visit.

One downside was the bar closing early, which was a bummer after a long day exploring.
